Breakfast in Bed

My typical Sunday morning is spent sleeping in, then enjoying a coffee in bed. It’s my favorite way to start the day. Sometimes I enjoy a cup from my De'Longhi, but other times I prefer to prepare a coffee with my French press. I’ve started adding cinnamon to my coffee while it steeps in the press, and it’s absolutely delicious. I usually listen to an audiobook or flip through a book or magazine while I sip on my coffee. Lately I’ve been reading some various publications from Stack Magazines. They have a well-curated collection of independent magazines that I indulge in buying from time to time. Candles are the perfect way to set the Sunday mood. I’ve been obsessed with this one from Byredo lately. It’s such a lovely scent (that’s the extent of my ability to describe scents), and of course, the minimal packaging entices me to keep repurchasing it.

Stroll through the City

Although most stores and attractions are closed on Sundays, I enjoy getting out of my apartment and strolling through the city. When I lived in France for the first time, I used to hate how dead the city felt. Now I really appreciate the empty streets and how peaceful it feels to take a walk outdoors. My boyfriend usually accompanies me, and we’ll often grab an iced coffee before finding a new area to explore. Other times we’ll prepare a picnic and spend the afternoon at a park. I’m usually wearing something comfortable like a flowy pair of pants, a basic tank top and a cushioned pair of sandals. This ensemble is not just for Sundays; it has slowly become my go-to look for running errands and working from home. I’ll usually wear this outfit with a small tote bag. I recently found this one from Arket that I’m obsessed with. It’s the perfect size to carry the essentials (phone, keys, wallet), and you can wear it as a crossbody too.

Pampering Routine

At the end of my Sunday, I spend an hour or two to take care of myself. I’ll usually begin my pampering routine with a long shower or bath. I reserve my more expensive shower products like this body wash from Nécessarie for this occasion since it makes this self-care time feel more luxurious. I’ll also tend to my hair with a treatment like the cult-favorite Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector or just a simple coconut oil hair mask. Once I’ve finished showering, I apply my body lotion, do my skincare, then I groom my nails. Lately I've been doing a manicure with just a classic nail polish and clear top coat. It’s simple, and it doesn’t damage my nails. While I’m pampering myself, I enjoy listening to an audiobook or relaxing music. Lately I’ve reignited my love for jazz, so you’ll find this playlist on repeat at my apartment.

Thank you for reading! How do you spend your Sundays?
