Hello July! June was a particularly busy month for me, but surprisingly, it moved quite slowly. To kick things off, I had the pleasure of attending Le Grand Gala des Arts et Métiers de Cluny. This enormous gala is held at a beautiful abbey with students and locals in attendance. I was invited by my boyfriend and some acquaintances, and it was a fantastic way to begin the month.
The following weekend took me to the countryside. A friend living in a small village hosted a garden party at their charming family home. It was a fun night of drinking wine, playing games and indulging in some of the host’s delicious homemade beef Wellington.
The month ended with a trip to Brittany, visiting Remi's family and indulging in beach days, shopping, and all of my regional favorites like fresh fish, crêpes and kouign-amann. Miam!
After less than a week on the coast, Rémi and I headed to Paris for a concert at La Villette. We only stayed in the city for a few days, but I managed to do some summer sale shopping and picked up a few fresh pieces for my wardrobe.
In between all of these events, I managed to squeeze in some "me" time. I saw the new “Challengers” movie (which I quite enjoyed) and inspired by my trip to the farmer’s market, I made a delicious Strawberry Spoon Cake Recipe, perfect for any upcoming Fourth of July celebrations!
With June being such a whirlwind, I’m hoping to slow down a bit in July. I probably won’t take much more vacation time, so I plan to focus on work and pencil in some summer activities when I have time. My goals for this month include trying my hand at bead embroidery (the cool-girl hobby of the summer), picking strawberries and playing (at least) a few tennis matches. To visualize my ideal July, I've created a mood board and turned it into a gorgeous desktop wallpaper – download it here! You can also find most of the images on my Pinterest for extra summer inspiration.
