My 2022 Favorites: Style, Beauty & Lifestyle

To welcome in 2023, I’m sharing my all-time favorites from this past year. From my most worn clothing items to the best beauty products to home finds and more, here are my top 22 products of 2022.
Style Favorites
1. Anine Bing Cleo Bag
Regular readers of my blog will likely recognize the Anine Bing Cleo bag, which I featured in several blog posts this year. Through out 2022 this bag has become one of my favorites in my collection. Classic and minimal, it goes with almost any outfit. Plus, it’s relatively affordable for a quality handbag that you’ll wear for years to come. I think it’s a great alternative to the popular YSL 5 à 7 bag that I see all over my Instagram feed.
2. COS Belted Wool Coat
A belted wool coat is one style essential that I wear on repeat during the winter months. Last year I bought this wool coat from COS in black, and it has become one of my most-loved outerwear pieces. Although this model isn’t available anymore in black, COS as well as & Other Stories have similar styles that are as equally timeless and minimal. If you don’t already own a wool coat, consider investing in one during the winter sale season.
3. Commando
Ballet Body Turtleneck Bodysuit
One item in my wardrobe that I wear at least once a week is a black turtleneck. There are endless ways to style it, which makes it a great piece for your capsule wardrobe. Since I wear mine so frequently, I decided to invest in the highly rated turtleneck bodysuit from Commando. I’m so glad that I did. It’s buttery soft, not too sheer and has a snap gusset (yes!). If you’re looking to upgrade your wardrobe basics, definitely consider this bodysuit.
4. H&M Cotton T-Shirt
Although I love to occasionally splurge on pricier basics, I’m more often picking up t-shirts, tanks and thermal wear from affordable brands like Uniqlo and H&M. This year I constantly reached for my white H&M t-shirts. The fit of these tees is perfection —not too boxy and not too snug, which is surprisingly difficult to find in a basic tee. And at $6 it’s definitely the best budget-friendly t-shirt I’ve tried.
Tip: I keep Shout stain removal wipes in my purse to treat stains when I’m out and about. It’s helped save so many of my white clothing items including t-shirts.
5. Arket Hopsack Wool Trousers
These Arket wool pants are minimalist perfection, which is probably why I wore mine on repeat this year. Versatile and comfortable, these pants make dressing so effortless. One of my everyday outfit formulas is a pair of pants, a crewneck sweater and a neutral sneaker. 6. Fleece Lined Tights
One of my most recent fashion finds are fleece lined tights. After seeing these tights all over TikTok, I decided to try them myself, and now I’m obsessed. They give the appearance of sheer tights while actually keeping you warm so you can wear skirts and dresses on cold winter days. If you’re considering purchasing these tights, I’d recommend going up one or two sizes, especially if you’re taller like me. I normally wear XXS or XS and I ordered these in a size M.
7. Cushionaire Pull-On Boot
Ugg boots were one fashion favorite that I loved in 2022 (and I’m still wearing now). Although Ugg boots are trendy, their neutral colors like Chestnut makes them very versatile, and I’ve worn them with so many casual outfits in my wardrobe. Instead of purchasing on Ugg boots, I purchased this similar style on Amazon. An affordable alternative if you still want to try this trend without splurging.
8. Ray-Ban Mega Wayfarer Sunglasses
This year I wanted to find a classic pair of sunglasses that would go with most of my wardrobe. I tried so many different styles and finally decided on these black sunglasses from Ray-Ban last fall. The shape suits my face perfectly, and I like that they feel a bit more masculine than round and cat-shape styles. I’ve been wearing them almost daily since I purchased them, so they’re definitely one of my top favorites of the year.
Tip: Instead of buying the trendiest sunglasses of the moment, look for a style that suits your face shape. Visit a sunglasses store and try on different pairs to get an idea of what looks good on you.
Beauty Favorites
9. Bed Head by Tigi Hair Wax Stick
Another TikTok find that upgraded my life in 2022 was this viral hair wax stick. It’s perfect for smoothing down flyaways and achieving that model off-duty bun. For only $9, this was probably one of the best and most affordable beauty products that I discovered this year.
10. Color Wow Dream Coat
I’ve been using the Color Wow Dream Coat for a couple of years now, but it continued to be an essential step in my haircare routine in 2022. Every three washes I will saturate my damp hair with the product before blow drying my hair, and I’m left with the softest, shiniest blowout. If you’re going to splurge on one haircare product, this is one you should try!
11. Olivia Garden Bamboo Brush
Olivia Garden makes some of my favorite hair brushes that are also very affordable. I bought this bamboo hair brush this year, and it has quickly become my go-to brush. I use it for detangling and styling my hair, and I love how it smooths my hair while taming flyaways.
12. elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter
I’m a big fan of the cult-favorite Charlotte Tilburry Hollywood Flawless Filter. I used it almost daily for a few years until I discovered the elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter. It’s much less pricy than the Flawless Filter, but it provides the same natural, healthy glow. Definitely add this product to your makeup bag!
13. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk
For an everyday pink lip, my go-to product is the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk. I slightly over-line my lip with this creamy pencil and finish with a tinted lip balm for a subtle pink pout. This color looks beautiful on my fairer complexion, which is why this liner has been a staple in my makeup routine for most of 2022.
14. Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau De Parfum
If you want to smell absolutely divine, then you should try my favorite perfume of 2022, Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau De Parfum. I’ve received endless compliments while wearing this perfume, which is why I continue to use it daily. With notes of lavender, orange blossom, and musk accord, this fragrance is feminine and floral, yet bold. Wear it year-round, day or night, it is one of the most versatile perfumes you can own.
15. Stainless Steel Gua Sha
Incorporating facial exercises into my self-care routine has been a game-changer. Lately, I’ve been using a stainless steel gua sha to help with lymphatic drainage to relieve tension and naturally contour my face. Stainless steel is naturally cold, which enhances the de-puffing benefits of gua sha.
Lifestyle Favorites
16. Eberjey
Chalet The Plush Robe
This year I finally invested in a plush robe for the colder months. This ultra soft robe from Eberjey is perfect for everyday whether I’m lounging at home or getting ready in the morning. I’m also obsessed with the gorgeous cream color!
17. SoulSyncBody
I’m a big fan of pilates, and when Sanne Vloet released her SoulSyncBody workout platform last year, I was eager to try it. There hundreds of low-impact workouts, healthy recipes, meditations and more. I’ve been following her 2 Week Pilates Program to reboot my workout routine for the new year, and I’m loving how it makes my body look and feel.
18. Recess Original Sampler
CBD-based drinks have become a new favorite in my fridge. They’re perfect to sip on after a stressful day, when you want to unwind without turning to sugary or alcoholic beverages. While I was in the United States I discovered Recess drinks and instantly become a fan. Not only is the packaging beautiful, but the drinks taste amazing and I can actually feel the calming effects.
19. Adanola Active Lifestyle Tote Bag
Adanola has become my go-to place to shop for quality activewear. This year I purchased their Active Lifestyle Tote Bag, which I’ve gotten so much use out of in 2022. It’s perfect for grocery runs, beach days, pilates sessions and any occasion when you need a big basic bag.
20. European Linen Duvet Cover
I finally invested in a quality duvet cover after moving into my new apartment last year. While I was in the U.S. I purchased the European Linen Duvet Cover from Quince. Soft and breathable, this bedding is comfortable and perfect for year-round. I’m excited to try more of Quince’s home products in 2023.
21. Minimalista: Your Step-by-Step Guide to a Better Home, Wardrobe, and Life
Since moving into my new apartment last September, I’ve taken so much pleasure in furnishing and decorating my space. When it comes to my wardrobe, home and life in general, I’d describe myself as a dabbling minimalist. Shira Gill’s book Minimalista has been a huge inspiration as I organize my apartment and maintain a clutter-free space.
22. Boy Smells
Cashmere Kush Candle
I tried so many candles this year, but my all-time favorite was Boy Smells’ Cashmere Kush Candle. It’s sensual, smoky, and warm — a luxurious scent that I’ll be burning well into the spring season.
Tip: use a wick trimmer to prolong the life of your candle for a brighter and more even burn.
