Sézane just released its new knitwear collection for fall 2026, bringing a fresh lineup of cardigans, sweaters, jackets, coats, and cold-weather accessories just in time for sweater season.

And after the mixed reaction to Sézane’s first fall campaign, I was especially curious to see what the French brand would do next.

The earlier drop marked a noticeable shift in aesthetic with more minimalist silhouettes, sculptural shapes, and pared-back designs replacing some of the romantic details Sézane has traditionally been known for.

Their latest knitwear doesn’t abandon that direction completely, but it does feel like more of a balance between old and new Sézane.

There are still plenty of oversized knits and streamlined silhouettes, but we’re also seeing the return of feminine cardigans, floral embroidery, and playful details. You can expect a cornucopia of autumn colors and patterns: chocolate brown, burgundy, forest green, taupe, and terracotta alongside herringbone, plaid, and argyle.

And surprisingly, some of my favorite styles aren’t sweaters at all. Sézane went particularly strong on coats and knit jackets this time around.

Below, I’m breaking down the best pieces from Sézane’s 2026 knitwear collection and the ones worth having on your radar.

My Top Picks From the 2026 Knitwear Collection

sezane knitwear

SéZane

Louis Coat

Not technically knitwear, but easily one of my favorite finds from the drop. The wrap shape, generous shawl collar, and longer length give it an effortless elegance that could make even jeans and a sweater feel pulled together.

sezane leonard

SéZane

Léonard Jumper

This one leans into the more minimalist direction Sézane has been exploring lately. The oversized proportions and mock neck make sweater-season dressing incredibly easy. Just add straight-leg trousers, leather boots, and a structured bag.

sezane knitwear collection

SéZane

Adeline Cardigan

This feels much closer to the feminine Sézane aesthetic we know and love. The romantic detailing is pretty without becoming overly sweet, and if I could pull it off, I’d absolutely spring for that gorgeous burgundy.

sezane sweaters

SéZane

Oscar Jacket

Exactly what I want to wrap myself up in on a chilly October day. The wool and kid mohair blend, oversized proportions, and classic plaid give it a cozy, borrowed-from-the-boys quality, complete with roomy front pockets.

sezane fall collection

SéZane

Athénaïs Jacket

The slightly raised collar taps into one of the season’s key details, but the styling is what really caught my attention. Cinching it with an oversized belt adds definition and plays into a recurring theme throughout the campaign: belts worn over jackets and chunky knits.

sezane jumper

SéZane

Pauline Jumper

Oh-so elegant and considerably more interesting than your average sweater. I can already picture this for a fall date night with slim denim, mules, and a little black clutch.

sezane coat

SéZane

Gabie Coat

Fringe is everywhere for fall 2026, and this is a clever way to embrace the trend without committing to it forever. The fringed collar adds personality, then detaches to reveal a timeless button-up coat underneath when you want something more classic.

sezane knits

SéZane

Robby Jacket

A sleek option for those early autumn days when it isn’t quite cold enough for a proper coat. The smooth leather and short cut have a subtle vintage quality that would work beautifully with high-waisted denim and a soft knit underneath.

sezane review

SéZane

Clyde Coat

The Clyde gets a cold-weather update this season, trading its familiar cotton for a warm wool blend. Finished in a timeless check, it practically begs to be worn on a crisp November afternoon with a chunky sweater and boots.

sezane knit

SéZane

James Jumper

I wasn’t completely convinced by the wide, slightly ballooned sleeves until I tried this on in store. The flared collar won me over immediately, and paired with slimmer trousers to balance the volume, it makes an unexpectedly elegant addition to a sweater rotation.

sezane outerwear

SéZane

Jonas Coat

The Jonas is back, but it’s the chocolate herringbone that caught my attention this time. Rich brown paired with a traditional menswear pattern feels almost made for autumn: classic, warm, and easy to wear year after year.

sezane 2026

SéZane

Chessy Skirt

This plaid skirt captures the mood of the season without relying on another knit. Start with a lightweight sweater and loafers while the weather is mild, then bring in tights, knee-high boots, and a wool coat as temperatures drop.

sezane new arrivals

SéZane

Jacques Coat

Plaid takes a richer turn here with a gorgeous jewel-toned palette. Go all in with the matching skirt for a head-to-toe autumn look, or throw it over understated basics and let the pattern do all the work.

sezane gaspard cardigan

SéZane

Gaspard Cardigan

Few things signal the start of sweater season quite like pulling out a favorite cardigan. The Gaspard is already a Sézane classic, but garnet pink and forest green give the familiar design a beautiful refresh for the colder months.

sezane sweater

SéZane

Gaia Jacket

A smart alternative to a blazer once the weather cools down. I’d keep things classic with straight-leg denim and loafers for daytime, then switch to leather trousers for a slightly edgier take.

sezane fall 2026

SéZane

Solal Jacket

Think of this as the shorter counterpart to the Louis, with the same soft, refined quality in a more compact shape. It’s particularly well suited to those early fall days when a blazer feels too light but you’re not ready to pull out a full-length winter coat.

sezane jacket

SéZane

Kemy Coat

One challenge with cold-weather dressing is keeping all those heavy layers from swallowing your shape. The belted waist solves that beautifully, adding definition while leaving enough room for a sweater underneath. The navy is particularly elegant paired with cream.

sezane scarf

SéZane

Eli Scarf

What would a knitwear drop be without a few scarves in the mix? The Eli is my favorite, offering an easy dose of color and texture without adding yet another sweater or coat to your wardrobe.

sezane cardigan

SéZane

Inès Cardigan

The shape may be relatively understated, but that pistachio green immediately won me over. It’s fresh and a little unexpected for this time of year, particularly against the chocolate browns woven throughout the campaign.

sezane fall collection 2026

SéZane

Hava Blouse

A welcome change of pace among all the chunky knits and substantial outerwear. The softer, romantic feel would look beautiful tucked into high-waisted denim or trousers, though I particularly like the idea of letting the details peek out beneath a cardigan or cropped jacket.

Is Sézane’s 2026 Knitwear Collection Worth It?

Overall, I think this is a more compelling collection than Sézane’s first drop for fall 2026.

There’s still a clear minimalist influence (especially in designs like the Antoine and Léonard) but with more of the color, femininity, texture, and detailing that I associate with Sézane.

The biggest consideration is price.

Several of the new sweaters sit around or above the $200 mark. The Léonard and Antoine are both $230, the Edgar is $220, and the Pierre is $210. Meanwhile, cardigans like the Gaspard, Adeline, Agathe, and Alban range from $120 to $185.

At those prices, it makes sense to be selective rather than getting swept up in the excitement of a recent drop. Fabric composition, versatility, and how often you can realistically see yourself wearing a piece become much more important.

For me, the major standouts are the ones that either capture that unmistakably feminine Sézane aesthetic (the Adeline, Alban, and Agathe) or offer something particularly unique from a design perspective, like the Louis and Gabie coats.

And somewhat unexpectedly, I think the outerwear may be the highlight of the entire line.

I’ll be in Paris shortly, so I’m hoping to try several of these items on in person and see how the fabrics, fits, and proportions compare to the photos.

Until then, these are the pieces from Sézane’s 2026 knitwear release that I’d have at the top of my list.
