What I Packed for a Weekend in Paris: Fall Packing List

This weekend, my boyfriend and I are taking a trip to Paris. Since I have a few days off this week, we decided it would be the perfect time to take a short vacation together. It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve visited the city, and I miss it incredibly. Maybe I romanticize life in Paris too much, but it was where I lived when I first went abroad about 5 years ago. So I can’t help but find it to be a place full of wonderful memories.
My boyfriend and I have both lived in Paris for periods of time, but we’ve never experienced it together before, so I can’t wait to see it from his perspective. But since we’ve done most of the tourist activities, we don’t have a lengthy itinerary for the trip. We plan to stroll through some of our favorite gardens in the city, see a few expos, and catch up with some friends. Now that fall is quickly arriving, I’ll probably do some shopping near Saint-Sulpice (here I like shopping at Maje, Sandro, COS) and Rue de Rivoli (an endless street of shops). Paris also has a larger selection of outlet stores that I’m excited to shop at.
My packing list is quite small for this trip, but I’ve found several outfit combinations using just a few basic pieces. I opted for neutral-colored, versatile pieces that can be easily mixed-and-matched. Since the weather can be unpredictable at this time of the year, I’m bringing some light jackets to layer over my outfits if needed. Along with the clothing and accessories shown above, I also brought my favorite gold jewelry (a dainty bracelet, a pair of hoop earrings, a set of small rings, and a pendant necklace). Adding jewelry can instantly upgrade your outfit, especially when it features a lot of neutral, basic pieces.
