It's easy to feel overwhelmed by runway trends showcased in high-fashion magazines. Like, how do I actually wear this? But don’t worry. I’m breaking down the key SS24 trends and sharing practical ways to curate a wardrobe that's as on-trend as it is versatile. From dreamy soft hues to bolder prints and preppy details, there’s something in store for everyone this spring.
These are the 15 wearable spring 2024 trends to keep on your radar this season!
15 Wearable Spring Fashion Trends for 2024
1. Leopard Print
Go wild with leopard print to add some personality to any outfit. This season, it's appearing on everything from dresses and skirts to blouses and accessories.
The best part about leopard print is that you can style it in many different ways. For a more formal look, choose a tailored leopard dress or skirt. For a casual outfit, try a leopard print blouse with jeans or a skirt.
You can also incorporate subtle hints of leopard through accessories, such as this calf hair belt, or make a bold statement with a standout leopard piece. To balance your look, pair it with solid-colored items in neutral tones like black, beige, or white to make it more wearable.

2. Butter Yellow
Butter yellow is the optimistic color set to take over this spring. This mood-boosting hue adds a touch of sunshine to any outfit and can be flattering on a variety of skin tones. Summers and winters can try cooler yellows like lemon and sunshine, while springs and falls should look for warmer variations like buttercup and maize.
A head-to-toe butter yellow outfit is the easiest way to embrace this trending spring shade. I’ve seen so many gorgeous dresses in this cheerful hue, perfect for a casual brunch or a spring wedding.
Alternatively, you can wear butter yellow with neutral hues like ivory, beige, or taupe to achieve a balanced, sophisticated ensemble. I’m obsessed with the look of a yellow blouse paired with white trousers for a chic outfit that you can easily wear from desk to drinks.
Butter yellow also pairs perfectly with light blue, especially when worn with denim pieces, which we’ll discuss further below!

3. Drop Waists
Another spring fashion trend you can expect to see everywhere this season is drop-waist silhouettes. This style cinches the waist below your natural waistline to create an elongating effect that can be flattering on a variety of body types.
Many drop-waist skirts and dresses feature longer hems, which make them ideal for occasions that call for more modest attire.
Pair a drop-waist dress with ballet flats and a basket bag for a casual spring look that’s perfect for a picnic or any daytime outing. For dressier occasions, wear it with kitten heels and a dainty shoulder bag.
You can even incorporate this trend into your spring work wardrobe. I’m taking major inspiration from this drop-waist skirt and blazer combo from Mango.

4. Slingbacks
Slingbacks, especially kitten heel and pointed-toe styles, are a classic shoe that will be huge this season.
They are the perfect complement to dresses and skirts, both short and long. Pair them with mid-length tailored dresses for the office or team them with a party-ready minis for a night out.
You can even style slingbacks for more casual events. Dress them down by pairing them with jeans and a fun top or try flat slingbacks with a casual sundress.
Consider opting for neutral hues like nude or cream for a versatile shoe you'll wear on repeat, or try something brighter with trendy shades like burgundy or butter yellow.
I recently purchased these beige slingbacks from Bobbies that I’m planning to make a staple in my wardrobe.

5. Denim
The trend of denim-on-denim is expected to gain even more popularity as we transition into spring and summer. This season, it's all about mixing and matching newer denim styles.
The denim shirt is going to be particularly popular. Pair it with white denim for a classic and timeless weekend ensemble that exudes chicness.
Try a denim jacket and matching jeans paired with a rustic belt for a casual look that perfectly fits the Western aesthetic that is also set to be major this summer.
Experiment with different combinations, such as pairing a denim shirt with a denim skirt or opting for a denim mini dress layered with an oversized denim jacket.
Embellished denim and denim combined with prints will add a playful touch to partywear outfits.
There are seriously endless ways to wear denim this spring, making it one of the more wearable spring fashion trends to try out.

6. Oversized Earrings
Bottega Veneta's viral drop earrings stole the spotlight during fall and winter. Going into spring and summer, the trend of bold, oversized earrings will definitely continue.
Statement studs are expected to be particularly popular, and we’ll start to see various shapes and styles this season.
While these earrings certainly make a statement, incorporating them into your daily wardrobe is surprisingly easy. They effortlessly complement almost any outfit. Consider opting for minimal accessories and a sleek hairstyle to avoid overwhelming your look.
Personally, I love pairing oversized earrings with a headband for a preppy, polished look that still feels current.

7. Roses
Spring is all about florals, and this season, roses are taking center stage. From delicate prints to bold embellishments and subtle details, there are several ways to incorporate this romantic motif into your wardrobe.
Experiment with the rose trend through tops, dresses, accessories, and even shoes. For a budget-friendly option, consider a clip-on rose accessory to add a touch of spring florals to any outfit, whenever you’d like, without breaking the bank.
Currently, Rouje has some of my favorite rose pieces. How gorgeous is this rose midi dress or these feminine floral earrings? If you’re a fan of French girl fashion, I’d recommend browsing their latest collection for some on-trend floral pieces for spring.

8. Polo Shirts
The resurgence of rugby shirts and the preppy polo aesthetic is another major trend for spring summer 2024. You’ll be sure to see bold striped polo shirts paired with soccer sneakers for a sporty statement.
For a more wearable option, you’ll want to add a timeless polo shirt to your wardrobe. This casual yet chic piece offers endless possibilities. Pair it with jeans, shorts, or a skirt for a sporty-meets-sophisticated look. Elevate your look by tucking your polo shirt into high-waisted pants or a skirt. Add a blazer or cardigan for an office-ready ensemble.
Whether you prefer the long-sleeved or short-sleeved version, the polo shirt is a chic choice for the upcoming season.

9. Soccer Sneakers
Soccer shoes (think Adidas Sambas and Gazelles) were all over my Instagram feed last year. I purchased a pair of Sambas that became a staple in my summer wardrobe. If you're a fan of this trend as much as me, you'll be happy to know that they'll be just as popular this spring!
Expect to see them in even brighter hues, such as bubblegum pink and sky blue. You can find a variety of stylish sneakers from Adidas, but I’d also check out brands like Puma and Saye.
Style them with jeans, a t-shirt, and a denim jacket for a laid-back look or dress them up with a midi skirt, a graphic tee and a leather jacket for a cool-girl combo. Either way, they are incredibly easy to wear.

10. White Dresses
White dresses dominated the SS24 runways, so you’ll be sure to see them everywhere this season. While the little white dress is a perennial favorite for spring, we anticipate seeing them styled in more ways. From crisp cotton poplin dresses to more carefree bohemian silhouettes, these dresses are a wearable spring trend, perfect for every day.
Pair a flowy midi dress with sandals and a top handle bag for a relaxed brunch outfit, or opt for a classic shirt dress with pointed-toe flats for a quiet luxury look. Elevate any white dress with statement jewelry and heels for an evening-ready ensemble.

11. Mini Hems
Micro-shorts have been having a moment on the runway for a while, and hems in general are getting shorter. This spring and summer, shorter hems will be a notable trend, especially as the weather gets warmer.
You don’t have to go ultra-mini to partake in this trend. Opt for mini skirts or dresses that flatter your body type and make you feel comfortable. You don't have to show a lot of leg to be on-trend!
Adding the right outerwear can also make minis more wearable. Consider going for oversized blazers, jackets, or sweaters to create a balanced silhouette. Add coverage with tights if desired, especially for cooler days. Alternatively, tall boots can also look stylish with mini skirts and dresses.
I personally love pairing a mini dress with kitten heels or ballet flats for a feminine 60s-inspired fit.

12. Sheer
A touch of transparency is in, with designers incorporating sheer materials like mesh, chiffon, and satin into dresses, blouses, and skirts. Lace skirts were a prominent trend last season, and we’ll continue to see them alongside sheerer pieces.
Wearing something sheer doesn’t necessarily mean bearing it all. You can make this trend wearable by seeking out pieces with mesh details or sheer paneling. Layer a sheer skirt over a slip or mini skirt for added intrigue, or consider a sheer blouse atop a dress or camisole for a subtler approach.

13. Oversized Totes
Spacious and practical, oversized bags are the perfect companions for spring 2024. From slouchy shoulder bags to leather carryalls, big bags of all kinds will be trending this season.
Oversized doesn’t have to be in-your-face. While you can expect to find these bags with some bolder elements like fringe, chains and embellishments, a neutral tote will look just as on-trend.

14. Light Blue
This spring, light blue is poised to be the new go-to neutral for your wardrobe. Spotted all over the SSW24 runways, this calming, sophisticated hue offers endless possibilities for effortless style.
Opt for a crisp button-up shirt or a knit sweater in light blue for a classic, cool look. Add a pop of color with icy blue shoes or accessories, like this beautiful blue shopper. Play with color by pairing blue with other contrasting colors like white, yellow, or even green.

15. Capri Pants
Capri pants are making a controversial comeback for spring 2024. No matter how you feel about this fashion trend, they can be an incredibly versatile (not to mention comfortable!) option for the warmer months.
Wear your capris with ballet flats and a basic tee for an everyday look that’s effortlessly cool. Alternatively, try kitten heels and a colorful blouse for a more dressed-up look.
Capris come in various lengths, so choose one that flatters your body type. If you have longer legs (instead of a longer torso), you should choose a longer capri length to make you appear taller. If you have shorter legs (with a longer torso), then you’ll want to choose a shorter style of cropped pants to help your legs appear longer.
