French Fashion Gifts

For the fashion-forward Francophile in your life, I've found some timeless staples and on-trend picks that she's sure to love. Anything from French brands like Sandro, Maje, and Sézane makes some of the best French gifts for her. If you know her style well, picking out a piece is ideal, but honestly, a gift card to one of these brands is just as perfect (and always appreciated).

French Clothing

Nothing says luxury like a soft Eric Bompard cashmere sweater. It's an investment piece that any fashion-forward Francophile will adore for years to come. I also love the knitwear from Parisian brand Loulou Studio—this burgundy cashmere crewneck is absolutely stunning!

If you're not ready to splurge, the Sézane Gaspard cardigan is a classic option priced at $120. I wear mine all the time—it's just the right mix of casual and chic. Check out all of Sézane's knitwear for a holiday gift. They've got plenty of styles and colors, so you're certain to find something they'll love!

We can't talk about French fashion without mentioning the iconic Breton shirts from Saint James. Stripes are basically a French staple, and this one is timeless.

French fashion meets California cool with this Clare V. sweatshirt that's perfect for lounging at home or running errands. Maison Labiche also has some playful pieces with French phrases. I'm so tempted to buy this "Comme Ci Comme Ça" sweater. So cute!

Everyone loves a cozy pair of PJs, and this Paris pajama set from Petite Plume is as cute as sleepwear gets. It's perfect for the homebody Francophile who can't get enough of the City of Light.

For something a bit more mature, French lingerie and sleepwear brands never disappoint. Simone Perele is a go-to for luxe quality that won't blow your budget. Their Satin Secrets kimono is a personal fave—luxurious and dreamy, it's the perfect piece for lounging in style.

French Accessories

Veja is the French sneaker brand everyone's obsessed with—and for good reason. They're super stylish, comfortable, and so easy to wear! I've had my Veja Campo sneakers for a few years now, and they've held up incredibly well (and I wear mine at least three or four times a week).

They're also perfect for a trip to France! I always include them in my packing lists because they're chic and won't leave your feet aching after a day of walking. Your favorite Francophile will fit right in with the locals—lots of French people wear them, too!

A pair of Repetto Cendriollon flats is a lovely gift if her style leans more feminine. I've had mine forever, and they still look great! Plus, ballet flats have been a major trend in the past few seasons.

Not a French brand, but Margaux totally nails French girl style. Their Demi flats are a bit more affordable and come in many chic colors.

A timeless French-made handbag is a gift that will never go out of style. I have an entire post dedicated to the best French handbag brands, so be sure to check it out for ideas on where to shop!

I personally love anything from APC and Le Tanneur. They have some fantastic quality bags at more accessible prices. I own the APC Grace Baguette bag in honey (if you don't know her preferences, black is almost always a safe choice). I receive so many compliments on this bag, and it's probably my favorite in my collection! This Le Tanneur Ella bag is another stylish gift that's high on my wish list.

Look in the closet of any French woman, and you're likely to find at least one Longchamp Le Pliage bag. It's stylish, lightweight, and folds up perfectly for travel. I have three of these bags in various colors and sizes—they are truly some of the best! I'd recommend the medium size for the perfect everyday tote.

If you're looking for a luxury French gift, you can't go wrong with a YSL wallet. Let's be honest—it's probably on every woman's wishlist (even if she doesn't know it yet). I'm all about those everyday luxuries, and this is one they'll actually use every day!

For accessories, you can't go wrong with a silk scarf. If you're feeling fancy, Hermès is one of the most iconic brands out there, but I personally love Longchamp scarves just as much (and they're way more affordable!). I received one from Rémi's parents for Christmas last year, and I love it! This Eiffel Tower design is gorgeous!

And for something a bit more casual, this Paris baseball cap is effortlessly chic.

This croissant dome ring gives serious Parisian vibes.

This Sézane pendant necklace is such a beautiful and delicate piece. I love that it feels a little bit more personalized with the inital! Any of Sézane's jewelry would make a great Francophile gift.

Gas Bijoux has become one of my new favorite French jewelry brands. These twisted gold hoops are unique but timeless enough for everyday wear.

French Beauty Gifts

Not French, but these personalized toiletry bags are incredibly chic! They make a great standalone gift or can be filled with her favorite French beauty products. Another beauty gift is this bistro tile tray from Anthropologie that would look gorgeous on her vanity or bathroom counter.

Headbands are back in style, and I love this tortoise headband from Camila Paris. You can find it on Amazon for under $15.

Gift Sets

When in doubt, a beauty gift set is always an easy option! I love that I can gift multiple items all in one. Plus, there is no need for wrapping—a total win.

L'Occitane offers some gorgeous gift sets featuring iconic hand creams, body lotions, and soaps straight from Provence.

For something more luxe, check out beauty sets from Dior, Lancôme, and YSL for thoughtfully curated beauty gifts!

This Caudalie set would make a lovely gift for any francophile. They'll enjoy three viral favorites: a mist to prep the skin and set makeup, a mask to cleanse and visibly tighten pores, and a serum to combat dark spots.

French Perfume

French perfumes make an unforgettable gift for Francophiles. I really love Guerlain fragrances for gifting. Not only do they smell divine, but the bottles are so stunning! Rémi's mom introduced me to their perfumes, as she wears them herself, and I've been obsessed ever since.

Another French fragrance brand to shop for is Diptyque, known for their luxurious candles but also offering luxe perfumes like Do Son and Philosykos.

Perfume can get expensive, I know. For something more affordable, look to Fragonard, a heritage French perfume house offering elegant fragrances. When I first lived in Paris, I bought a bottle of Belle Chérie eau de toilette, and it was my signature scent during my time there. It would make a beautiful gift, and it's even available on Amazon!

Not a French brand but giving major Parisian vibes is Le Monde Gourmande. Most of their fragrances are only $25! With notes of eau de rose, Turkish delight, and sugarcane, their Macaron Rosé fragrance is sure to delight the Francophile who wants to smell like a sweet macaron.

If you're not quite sure of her fragrance preferences, consider a perfume sampler that lets her try a variety of French sets. This Hermès mini fragrance discovery set is affordable luxury at its finest. It includes four bestselling deluxe miniature fragrances for her to test, beautifully presented in the brand's iconic orange box.

For something a bit more modern, Maison Margiela's REPLICA mini perfume set offers a range of scents inspired by specific moments, like By the Fireplace or Lazy Sunday Morning. Another fantastic gift for the French fragrance fan.

French Makeup

French beauty brands offer some of the best makeup products to gift this season. Chanel and Dior are two luxe brands that every makeup enthusiast dreams of having in her collection. The Dior Backstage glow face palette is just one must-have, featuring four luminous shades that give a gorgeous glow to the skin.

For eye makeup, a Chanel eyeshadow quad is something that any woman will appreciate, especially if she’s constantly changing up her look. The Laura Mercier caviar sticks are another fantastic gift. These creamy, twist-up sticks are a fan favorite, one of my favorites for a quick smokey eye. This trio set would be a thoughtful gift, letting her try out different shades.

When it comes to lipstick, Guerlain is a luxe treat for the beauty obsessed Francophile. Their Rouge G lipstick glides on like a dream and delivers long-lasting color, but what makes it truly unique is that you can pick a case to hold it! I find this leopard print one incredibly chic.

Year after year, the Rouje lip palette remains one of my top recommendations as a French gift. With four creamy shades, it’s perfect for achieving that effortlessly chic Parisian pout—ideal for the holiday season!

French Gifts for the Home

If you want to bring a little French flair into someone’s home, these gifts are perfect. They add that signature French touch any Francophile will appreciate. Personally, I love these picks because they’re things that anyone obsessed with French living will truly enjoy—basically, no-fail ideas. Whether it’s a cozy candle or some chic wall art, these pieces will instantly elevate their space with that effortless French charm.

Ornaments

Trim their tree with these charming French-inspired ornaments! You can’t go wrong with famous French foods like this adorable baguette ornament or this colorful macaron ornament. And of course, an Eiffel Tower ornament is always a classic—especially if they’ve recently visited Paris.

Gift them over time, and before you know it, they’ll have an entire tree full of French icons—so cute!

Games and Stationery

Quality stationery is one of those things that many of us want but rarely splurge on. That’s why French-themed notecards make such a thoughtful gift for a Francophile, especially if they’re living abroad and frequently sending mail back home.

Etsy is a goldmine for French finds like notepads and journals. I’m obsessed with this Luxembourg chair notebook—if you’ve ever been to the gardens, you’ll recognize that iconic green chair!

Papier is one of my favorite stationery brands with so many chic designs to choose from. These croissant notecards are such a fun find!

For cozy game nights, a deck of playing cards or a Paris puzzle is a guaranteed win. And if your favorite Francophile doesn’t have their own pétanque set yet, a set of balls is a perfect way for them to enjoy this popular French pastime.

Art

Art can be super personal, but if you know your Francophile well, it can make a meaningful and thoughtful gift.

For stunning watercolor prints, check out watercolor artist Lydia Marie Elizabeth—her work is gorgeous! She offers original art (if you’re going for something truly one-of-a-kind) and prints of dreamy French gardens and charming Paris scenes at more accessible prices.

If they’re more into photography, you should browse the work of Rebecca Plotnick. She’s a fellow Francophile blogger, and her shots of Paris are some of my favorites—perfect for anyone who’s always dreaming of the City of Light.

Candles

A luxury French candle is always a win, especially from brands like Diptyque or Cire Trudon. Be sure to check out their holiday collections for seasonal scents and stunning gift sets that make foolproof presents. Not sure about their scent preferences? You can’t go wrong with this small candle set from Diptyque featuring some of their most iconic scents like rose, fig tree, and berries.

Another favorite of mine is Kerzon, particularly their collection of candles inspired by iconic Parisian spots. One of the best-sellers is the Place des Vosges candle, capturing the charm of the famous square with Bulgarian rose, mango, and fresh geranium notes. If they have a favorite Parisian location, a Kerzon candle is such a thoughtful (and practical) gift!

French Coffee Table Books

For the armchair traveler, a stack of books on French culture, history, or fashion is the perfect way to keep them feeling connected to France, no matter where they are.

There are tons of great picks out there, but here are a few of the best new releases from 2024:

It showcases beloved and lesser-known images as well as insightful quotations revealing his sensitivity, warmth, and wit.

Francophile Books

For anyone who dreams of sipping café au lait at a cozy Parisian café or strolling along the Seine, Francophile books are the perfect escape.

One of my all-time favorites is All the Light We Cannot See, which tells the moving story of a blind French girl and a German boy whose lives intertwine in occupied France during World War II.

Another must-read is The Elegance of the Hedgehog (I loved it so much, I read it in both English and French!), a charming novel that peeks into the lives of residents in a posh Parisian apartment building.

Looking for something new? The Paris Widow and The Paris Novel are great additions to your reading list, released this year.

There are so many great non-fiction books that make perfect gifts for the Francophile in your life. A Bite-Sized History of France is a must-read for anyone interested in French food and history.

Two other favorites are My Twenty-Five Years in Provence and The French Art of Living Well, both full of charm and insight. If you’re shopping for a film lover, check out Le Cinema Francais: An Illustrated Guide to the Best of French Films—it’s the ultimate gift for any French cinema enthusiast.

French Gifts for the Gourmand

French cuisine is some of the best in the world, so kitchen and food items make ideal gifts for any French-loving foodie. Whether they're an aspiring chef or simply love indulging in good food, these picks are guaranteed to impress!

Advent Calendars

Treat the foodie in your life to a French advent calendar filled with gourmet delights like chocolates, teas, or artisan jams. It's the perfect way to count down to the holidays with a little taste of France each day.

The Bonne Maman advent calendar is a fan favorite every year, offering 24 days of mini jars of French preserves (just waiting for a fresh baguette). They also have this 12 Days of Christmas gift set with a smaller selection of jams. Tea lovers will adore the Palais des Thés advent calendar with a curated selection of premium French teas to sip throughout the cold season.

French Baking Kits

For the Francophile who loves spending time in the kitchen, a French baking kit is such a fun way to elevate their skills.

This French tart baking kit comes with everything needed to whip up authentic tarts—I received it as a gift a few years ago, and I loved it!

If macarons are more their thing, a macaron baking kit (complete with pre-measured ingredients and helpful accessories) is another excellent option. Whatever their go-to French treat, there's likely a kit for them!

I also love the idea of DIY-ing a baking kit. All you need to do is gather some bakeware, a recipe book, and maybe even some ingredients for their favorite pastry. Et voilà!

French Cookbooks

A French cookbook is another excellent gift for the home chef and Francophile. Some of my recommendations are Patisserie at Home, the ultimate French pastry and dessert cookbook, and French from the Market, showcasing the best of traditional French cooking.

French Kitchen Staples

You'll find raclette machines in many French homes—a must-have for hosting raclette parties during winter. If they don't already own one, gifting a raclette machine is a fun way to bring a little bit of France to their next dinner party.

A quality crêpe pan from a heritage brand like Staub makes a great gift for the aspiring chef. They’ll enjoy making Breton-style crepes that taste just like they’re from a French crêperie.

No French kitchen is complete without a piece from Le Creuset. A signature French-made cast iron pot is not just a beautiful addition to their kitchen but is also practical for making stews, soups, and all things comforting. This classic red color is my personal fave!

For something on the smaller side, go for a mini Le Creuset cocotte. This adorable stoneware dish is ideal for baking and serving individual portions of their favorite French dishes.

These ornate cheese knives are incredibly elegant. Pair them with a selection of their favorite French cheeses for a thoughtful gift.

This bistro tile cheese platter from Anthropologie is a chic way to serve cheese.

For the true cheese lover, the Emile Henry cheese box is a game-changer—both practical and beautiful for storing and serving all their favorite French fromages.

I've been spotting French butterkeepers all over TikTok lately. These cute ceramic dishes keep butter fresh and perfectly spreadable—just like the French do. It's such a simple yet thoughtful gift that any home cook or foodie would absolutely love.

French knives from some of the best brands, like Laguiole, make excellent gifts that will be in their kitchen forever. These are on my Christmas list as I start curating my apartment.

The Tout Paris collection from Bernardaud is definitely a splurge, but it's the ultimate luxury gift for any Francophile.

For something more budget-friendly, I'm obsessed with this Paris holiday mug from Anthropologie that blends holiday charm with the City of Light. Pair it with a French tea for an extra thoughtful touch.

And if you're looking to add some French chic to their home, these stunning coupe glasses are ideal for toasting Champagne, wine, or a classic French cocktail.

French table linens with patterns inspired by the south of France will give their dining table a quaint, Provençal feel. This beautiful tablecloth from Couleur Nature Paris is a lovely gift for the hostess who loves to entertain!

A classic French market basket is a chic and practical gift for farmers' markets or weekend getaways.

Elevate their kitchen with French soap—whether it's the iconic Savon de Marseille or a luxury hand wash from Diptyque. You could easily pair this with a few other kitchen items to create a personalized French gift basket.

This adorable recipe journal is perfect for jotting down their favorite French dishes.

French Food

We can’t talk about French gifts for the foodie without mentioning…food!

Macarons are always a hit, especially those from Ladurée. Any French pastries or sweets like madeleines or pain d’épices are perfect French Christmas gifts.

French tea is another foolproof pick. Brands like Damann Frères and Mariage Frères offer beautifully curated teas that are as delicious as they are luxe. Pair with a chic mug (like the ones mentioned above) and have the perfect gift set for the tea lover.

French hot chocolate is another gourmand gift perfect for the Francophile with a major sweet tooth. Chocolat chaud is thick and rich—perfect for sipping on a cold winter day.

For the ultimate cozy night in, nothing beats chocolate fondue.

If you're shopping for a true café fan, I can't recommend Bacanha syrups enough. The bottles are gorgeous, and the flavors are perfect for whipping up café-style drinks at home. They also have several fruity flavors that are great to mix with water for a refreshing sirop.

For something a little more indulgent, you can't go wrong with a bit of French bubbly. Whether it's for celebrating or simply elevating a weekend brunch, a bottle of Champagne is a timeless French gift.

A gift box of classic French cheeses like Brie, Roquefort, and Comté will make their next charcuterie board très délicieux. Pair with a good bottle of wine for the ultimate French foodie gift.

Looking for something a bit sweeter? French honey is a perfect pick. Lavender honey from Provence is a standout, as is a jar of artisanal French confiture for spreading on a fresh baguette or croissant.

With all these delicious options, why not create a French-inspired gift basket? Fill it with a mix of artisanal French treats like teas, syrups, jams, and sweets for a truly thoughtful (and delicious) gift.

I’m a huge fan of creating my own little gift sets. Sometimes I find a gift that I know they’ll love but it seems too small or incomplete.
