If you’re ready to embrace the badass in you, then check out this refreshing take on how to push past your fears and pursue your dreams. This book is comprised of 27 short chapters that will help you become more self-conscious of your limiting beliefs and take control of your life. I appreciate Jen Sincero’s straightforward, no nonsense approach to self-help so much that I listen to the audiobook monthly.
CAREER
Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead
In her inspiring, revelatory book, Facebook’s COO, Sheryl Sandberg, discusses women in the workplace and the need for more female leaders. She shares insights from her own experiences and how women can overcome insecurities like imposter syndrome and the fear of seeming too type A. The book is controversial for some its content (I’ll let you research and decide for yourself), but it is overall an uplifting book for working women.
FINANCES
Think and Grow Rich
If you want to be rich, add this book to your reading list. The “most important financial book ever written” reveals the secrets behind the wealth of some of the richest men in history including Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. The concepts are quite simple, but when you implement them, they are incredibly effective. Napoleon Hill’s advice has radically changed my mindset on money and my approach to achievement.
RELATIONSHIPS
Why Men Love Bitches
Don’t pass up this book just because of its provocative title. There is a lot of powerful advice in this dating book that explores why men are attracted to strong women. Sheryl Argov’s message will not only help you gain a man’s love and respect, but will also incite confidence and strength in yourself. Even though the book was published in 2002, its attraction principles are absolutely timeless.
HOME
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up
You probably remember Marie Kondo’s Netflix series when it was all the rage in 2019. If you’re looking to master her methods then you should definitely read her best-selling book. It details how to effectively declutter your home (something I never really learned) and explores the concept of only keeping things that spark joy. It has completely changed the way that I think about my home and what I purchase.
